How Grand Opening Went

How Grand Opening Went

Posting about how the Grand opening went.

Grand opening was fun. We didnt get any customers and didnt sell any products but I learned a lot from this first time having the farmstand open. We had a lot of people slowing down and reading the signs. Its going to take some time to get the word out that we are here and what we are selling but it will happen eventually. I learned a few things that will make opening the farmstand each weekend go smoother.

I made gift bags and gift baskets with the products that didnt sell and donated some to the local drs office and also the front office at the hospital for their breakroom. I included a few business cards with the baskets. I also gave a basket for the nursing home staff. I gave some of the bread to some friends. I am going to take the rest of the bread and turn it into bread crumbs and croutons that I can package and sell in rhe farmstand.

It was a good learning experience that will help me with future weekends in the farmstand.
