New this week!
Good morning Wynn's Sweet Treats fans and followers! I'm sorry I haven't been very active over this past week. My husband was in the hospital with a serious medical emergency. He has one less toe but is otherwise doing great. Now that he is recovering I am getting back in gear to continue preparing to do vendor events. I want to do events to boost sales and draw more customers to shop with me.
I feel that setting up for these pop up vendor events is the key to drawing new customers. With that in mine I will have the farmstand open on Fridays and Sundays the same as I have been doing BUT keep the farmstand closed on Saturdays so I can use that day to do pop up vendor events.
This is the plan for this week:
1) Make signs for the front of my vendor canopy. One for the very front of the canopy and one to hang on the back wall.
2) Use our wedding tent side walls that are exactly 20 foot long to make side walls for my vendor canopy in case it rains while I am set up. No one wants wet and/or soggy baked goods. Lol
3) Finish sewing my table cloths for my vendor event tables. The print on the fabric and color will be great because they further support my branding efforts.
4) With the help of my husband, build table risers and table displays.
5) Finish prepping cookie dough and freeze until ready to bake.
6) Come up with a menu for my first event so I can then create a plan of action for tackling the baking without doing a marathon baking session. If I know what I will need to bake I can break it down into shorter sessions so I can rest inbetween. My health and health conditions won't allow me to do things like I would like so I have to be more diligent in planning and allowing more time for tasks. Otherwise I will send myself spiraling into a flare and be stuck in bed instead of doing a pop up event this coming weekend. Lol.
My hope is to make my set up look great without spending much money. The fact that I am a bit frugal, and am pretty good with a sewing machine, a glue gun, and hand painting simple designs is a plus because I can make 90% of the things I will need to put together a pretty and professional looking set up. Keep us in your prayers that I can complete everything in time to set up this weekend.
Adding a photo of my new logo i designed myself for those who haven't seen or noticed it yet. I'm planning on attempting
