Pop Up Events!

Pop Up Events!

What pop up events are and how they work.

I live in a small country town so opening my farmstand each weekend isn't attracting much traffic. After much thought and research, I have found a way to attract new customers and grow my business by utilizing pop up events.

Pop Up events are where a vendor such as myself take my baked goods, canned goods, and craft items I make and setting up to sell them in other venues. Using a canopy tent, tables, and displays on each table to showcase my items i can set up anywhere that allows me to set up. My latest venue was in my little town of Chatom, Alabama.

I chose a spot in town in a large parking lot across from a Dollar General that has moved. I set up my canopy, and tables with table cloths, signs, and displays that I made myself. It turned out great! I didn't make the kind of money that I would in a larger town or city but that wasnt the only point to setting up there. The point was to meet some of the citizens of the town and sell them some of my delicious baked goods.

Each time I set up in town more people will purchase and try my baked goods. If they like them they will come see me again for more or place a order on my website. Doing this attracts more customers and gets word of mouth out amount the people in the surrounding area. My thoughts for now are to not open the farmstand on Fridays anymore so that I have more time to prepare for the weekend.

I will set up in town on Saturdays from 9am to 2 or 3pm and then open my farmstand on Sundays after church (1pm to 4pm). So if you live in Chatom, Alabama or surrounding areas stop by, say hello, and try some of my baked goods. If you aren't close enough for that then you can still try my baked goods by shopping here on my website. Orders can be picked up in town (Chatom) where I am set up, at the farmstand. I can deliver if you are within 50 miles of Chatom, Alabama or i can ship your order if you are in the state of Alabama. Cottage Food Laws don't allow me to ship outside of my state.

I look forward to baking for you!

I own and run a microbakery and farmstand from my home. I do vendor events too! Orders can be placed here and picked up at the farmstand, delivered for a small fee, or shipped. My farmstand is not self serve at this time. So when you visit my farmstand you will meet me and I am there to answer any questions that you might have. I take pretty much all forms of payment.
